Google introduced Chrome data syncing in 2009, but now they’re overhauling these tools and taking them to a new level. Chrome on Android, Windows, and other platforms now syncs much more seamlessly than it used to.
By signing in to Chrome, users gain access to their saved passwords, addresses, and other data from their Google account. Google allows you to sign in to Chrome to enjoy a personalized “browsing experience” on each device if needed.
Google is scrapping outdated “Chrome Sync” and is relying on a new seamless cloud solution.
For example, users can start planning a trip on their smartphone and complete it seamlessly on any other device, send tabs between devices, access bookmarks, and use automatically generated passwords.
Despite these changes, Google emphasizes that users still have full control over their data. For example, saving history and open tabs in the Google account remains a separate option even after logging into Chrome.
