What is probably the first electric car without a rear window for “normal” customers is now being delivered in Europe. Polestar is giving the green light for the new 4, which will also be seen on German streets. The Geely subsidiary needs to ramp up its electric car portfolio now.
The Swedish electric car brand Polestar has taken another critical step in its expansion. With the delivery of the first Polestar 4 SUV coupes in Europe, the company is expanding its range to three models. In addition to the Polestar 2 and the Polestar 3, the Polestar 4 can now be seen on the streets of Germany, Norway, and Sweden.
Polestar 4 should finally lead to success
The deliveries in Europe follow the successful launch of the Polestar 4 in China and mark a significant milestone for the company. Customers in other European countries will also be supplied in the coming weeks. CEO Thomas Ingenlath sees the expansion of the product range as a precise positioning of Polestar as a design-oriented premium luxury electric car brand on the global market.
In order to meet the increasing demand, Polestar plans to start production of the Polestar 4 in South Korea from 2025. This will significantly increase the production capacity for the SUV coupe.
The only downside: Polestar remains in the premium segment, and the 4 Series only starts at 61,900 euros.
